The Petřín funicular will take you up the Petřín hill to see the Petřín observation tower and enjoy a pleasant walk downhill back to the city. The 3-minute ride offers an unmatched panoramic view of Prague through the glass windows of the cable car. The funicular was launched in 1891 and it was the longest funicular of the time in the country. You will find it by the tram stop Újezd and a classis tram ticket will let you take the ride up.
Apart from buses, trams and the metro, the Prague public transport company operates ferries that will take you across the Vltava river on several spots. There are 6 ferry lines and 2 out of them run in the centre which makes them a great diversion on your sightseeing tour.
Line P5 will take you from Tančící dům (Dancing House) to Císařská louka (The Emperor’s Meadow) and you will get a unique view of the prominent historical sights. Line P4 connects Střelecký Island, Slovanský Island and Dětský Island. Hop on it and have a nice day out by the Vltava river.
